I would find myself not getting any sleep because I would actually be listening, trying to see if I can hear somebody fooling around the door. I mean the slightest little noise would make me get up and, I lost a lot of sleep.
My name is I live in Cahokia Illinois. Cahokia is maybe 5 to 1 minutes from St. Louis Missouri. I live here with my children, I have my little dog Oscar, I am a full time employee of a federal law enforcement officer and life is good.
I was in Memphis working and whoever the guys were that broken into the house they knew that my neighbor was not there and they also didn’t see my car for about three weeks and so they knew I was not there either. I was broad daylight when these boys decided to break into my house. They came around to the back yard they took the screen off of my daughter’s bedroom window and they broke the lock that was on her window, they did damage to the window. I was angry, I was I felt violated. I was appalled, I was just, I wanted to leave Memphis and come straight home, Memphis is 4 hours away. I kind of scares me to even think what if my children had been here and I was 4 hours away, and it was just fortunate that no one was at home at the time.
Once the boys left my daughters room and they walked past the wall that’s how the motion detector picked them up. I got the phone call on my cell phone for the alarm monitoring company. My niece was house sitting and she was gone at the time and She knew to set the alarm and she knew to set the alarm in the away mode. I immediately called my niece and told my niece “Get to the house somebody is breaking in, the police are on their way.”
My niece informed me by the time she got here, she my niece stated she got here in about 5 minutes or less. and She said that the house was just surround by Cahokia police offices and my niece said that she saw one officer jump out of his car and run toward the back yard. They caught the boys coming out of my daughters back bedroom window and that is when she saw the officers coming around with the boys in hand cuffs. They responded very very quickly.
I got my peace of my mind back because I know that my alarm system works. It worked when the boys broke into the house, they were caught and I let that fear go. I don’t worry about going anywhere anymore because I trust Platinum. Platinum has I think they have done an outstanding job. If it had not been for the alarm system they would have cleaned me out. They would have cleaned my house out.
